After talking to people who were too intimidated by cooking to do it, I had been throwing around the idea of writing a cookbook that was a book about cooking instead of just a list of recipes. However, I was having trouble figuring out how I wanted to organize it and what all I wanted to include.

Then one day, one of my friends told me that she would love to read a kitchen witch zine if I were to write one, and I realized that a zine is significantly easier to manage than an entire book.

Mystic Kitchen was born from this realization.  This is issue 1, which is just sort of foundational and all over the place thematically, but my intent is to continually create these, with future issues focused more tightly on specific themes.
